‘I found all Cube Relocations' staff to be professional, organised, courteous and helpful. The advice given by the Cube Relocations management at the planning stage of the move was relevant, accurate and useful. The task was completed on time and in budget.’
The Client
Queen Mary’s College is an incorporated, co-educational, sixth form college based in Basingstoke. The college had a requirement to relocate several of their departments to a newly constructed building on the other side of their campus.
The Project
Queen Mary’s College chose Cube Relocations to provide a relocation solution that was built around their bespoke requirements. The solution would enable the relocation of approximately 100 staff members and the equipment required to deliver teaching to 1200 students. Wrapping, packing, uplift, removal and unpacking of all these items would form key components of the solution that Cube Relocations delivered.
The Process
As the departments being moved included science, physical education, geography, psychology and history, the work required the relocation of sensitive items such as computer equipment and potentially hazardous chemicals. Cube Relocations risk assessed the new environment and the nature of the items that needed to be relocated; and recommended an effective solution which included appropriate packaging and waste transfer notes.
In order to ensure that the move would be delivered according to the required timescales, the move management team at Cube Relocations put together a detailed project delivery plan that would allow for the items to be appropriately packaged, taking into account the time needed to build bespoke packaging. The items would also need to be moved and unpacked as quickly as possible so that the college could be fully functioning with little disruption to the services that they provide to their students.
‘Queen Mary’s College has an outstanding reputation for excellence and we wanted to ensure that the relocation solution that we provided them delivered on every level. We took the time to assess their needs and advise them on the best means of relocating their teaching equipment. Our team then translated these requirements into a tight relocation project and we are glad that they were happy with the outcome.’
